Fast Type Keyboard

Hey guys and gals. I was perusing kickstarter and came across this keyboard that looked pretty cool: Fast Type Keyboard

It's supposed to make one handed typing easier. To me, it seems sort of like a hybrid of T9 and a standard keyboard. I've not really seen anything like it before.

If anyone is interested; I'd really like to see this get backed so I can try it out. :)

On the top row there are 5 buttons, one button for each vowel: a, e, i, o, u. Below that is one long button for all the consonants. Tapping anywhere on this long button gives you a consonant. If you want to type the word 'hello' tap anywhere on the long consonant button once, then tap on the 'e' button, then tap twice anywhere on the long consonant button and finally tap on the 'o' button. You've spelled 'hello'

I'm a Kickstarter junkie, addicted to trying out new keyboards (even backed Minuum and Fleksy before they launched), and this one looks pretty cool as well.

I'm in for an early bird slot. Thanks for sharing it!

minuum seems like a good concept, but not intuitive to just pick up and use. I really hope we get to try this one!! :)
It was kind of cool... for a bit. And worked surprisingly well for how tiny the actual letter keys are. I don't know, I just never could stick with it for very long.

Fleksy is also cool, though it's much more conventional. It's real strength was in the gesture-based autocorrect options.

But yeah, definitely looking forward to hopefully trying this one!

Not yet. I installed it but haven't had a chance to mess around yet. I'll update again after I get a chance to test it out. :)
