Hello everyone,

I just purchase a HTC Thunderbolt. I purchase it for the sole purpose for receiving and answering emails the fastest way possible. My type of business depends how fast the email gets to me and how fast I return a call to a phone number email to me. The same email with phone numbers goes out to my other 150 competitors. I use one computer and now will use my new Thunderbolt to wait for those phone numbers email to me.

My question is, what are the best setting to receive an email the fastest way possible and be alerted so I can return a call. I'm now spending more time out on the field than at my computer. I realize I will have to be quick on the draw also.

Any help and or suggestions would be appreciated very much.

Best regards

What type of email account(s)? Always include this information with email related questions. Push accounts will be faster than pull. You can increase polling intervals with pull accounts but you'll adversely affect battery life by doing so.

You could just download K-9 Mail, free from the Market and set up your Yahoo account.. see here

http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-support-troubleshooting/143918-yahoo-imap-settings-use.html

Then under K-9 Account Settings for your Yahoo email account > Fetching mail > Folder poll frequency... you can select anything from 1 minute to every 24 hours for your Yahoo account to be checked for new emails.

Once you have received the email with the tel number just press and hold the number until it is highlighted and "Text copied to clipboard" is displayed.

Now go to your dialer and press and hold the dialer strip above the keypad until the number is copied into it and then press the dial button.

Be aware that the higher the checking frequency the more drain on your battery and data transmission. However, set to every minute is almost instantaneous updating of your email.

This involves only one app and is free.

Hope this helps. :D
