Fatalities 2025

(The holidays are often difficult for people, with sometimes awful results.)

Versatile character actor James Ransone, perhaps best known for "The Wire," "It: Chapter Two," and "The Black Phone" films, hung himself on Friday.

RIP, Mr. Ransone, with thanks for sharing your talents. I am sorry that you lost hope for whatever it was you were seeking; condolences to your fans, friends, family and loved ones.

Chris Rea, English rock and blues singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer, probably best known on this side of the pond for his song Fool (if you think it's over), died on Monday after a short illness. He was 74.

RIP, Mr. Rea, and thanks for sharing your talents. Condolences to your fans, friends, family and loved ones.

Edit: I hadn't heard that song in a long time, so I went and listened to it and am sharing it. I'm sure some of you will remember it.

Here's one that was completely missed J. D. Souther
American singer-songwriter and actor died last September at 78. He was huge in the musical world in the 70s and 80s. I just recently did a Google search on him and the results came back actually saying he was still active.
A video from the professor of rock popped up in my YouTube algorithm and that's how learned he had passed
Mr Souther was truly one of the great ones in music
Rest in peace

He was indeed talented, and I also missed that he had passed. RIP Mr. Souther.
Stay safe out there, Joe.

Brigette Bardot passed away today at the age of 91. She was one of the truly beautiful women that caught my eye in my youth. This is a little snippet I grabbed from the net: Bardot died on 28 December 2025, at the age of 91, following an illness and surgery two months earlier. No cause of death was specified in the announcement by the Brigitte Bardot Foundation. French President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to her on social media, describing Bardot as a "legend of the century".

^^^ RIP, Ms. Bardot, with condolences to your countless fans, friends, family and loved ones. Thanks for being one of the earliest "Big Names" at the box office, and for good reason.
