i just visited my dad at the cemetery.....and now i am grilling some chicken legs. i have a a Goose Island beer that has been aging since 2023.....gonna pop that one open for dinner. its supposed to age really well, so we will see how that goes.

Need to visit my father with my sister tomorrow, its been a spell to visit his grave.

Five years without a peep though, I still feel like talking with him as a person.

I have a can of Coors in the fridge. It was purchased when the pull tabs first came out. The can I saved missed getting a pull tab. Oddly, it is only about half full of liquid now that it's set for half a century. I'm pretty certain it has not aged well. :)
It's not one of those where they put a picture of the Super Bowl winners on it is it :goofydroid:

No. It's just a regular can of it's time except it didn't get a ring pull top. I'm guessing 1973 or 74 vintage.

So many guys follow our pathetic popular culture, believing that the epitome of the high life is pollinating every flower in the meadow and walking away, leaving their offspring to forever wonder who "baby daddy" is. They have robbed themselves of their divine destiny for another cheap thrill hookup. Get married, stay faithful, raise your children. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's stressful. Yes, it will be incredibly joyful and insanely agonizing. It's all so worth it, though. Any boy can father a child and run away: but it takes a MAN to stick around and be DAD.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to those of you who chose to be DAD.
