Help Faulty Power Button?

Hey guys. I got Moms a Nexus 7 for Christmas. I set it up for her while I was at school and everything worked fine. First couple days she used it it also worked fine. Now for some reason it's like the power button sticks. When you shut it down and want to turn it back on the only trick I've came up with so far is holding it in for about 10 sec. and then double tapping the power button really quick. Should I just contact Google and send it in for a new one since it's obviously still under warranty (3 weeks old max)? Or is there a simple fix like factory restoration?

Not sure if this'll be a defect... This only occurs when you want to boot up the tablet? Could you try holding it for 3seconds and waiting a bit?

Yeah it seems that holding it down for about 10 sec. and double tapping it is the only solution for turning it on.

I would take it back for an exchange. Its too nice a device to have to hassle just to turn it on.
