Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

I haven't posted in this thread forever, but it looks like this thread is still doing it's job.

Here's a list of some of my favorite apps (as of today at least):

TSF Shell - crazy expensive, but seriously worth every penny. Believe me, I tried just about every launcher out there (e.g., Go, Apex, 360, ADW, Nova, Launcher Pro, FTL, Zeam, SS, Nemus, NEXT 3D etc. etc.) and most of them are good, but to be honest they are all pretty similar. TSF Shell took a little getting used to since it isn't the usual Android UI, but once you do it is amazing in every respect. Link to video of latest version.

Swapps! - I tried most of the side launchers and found Swapps! to be the best. It is super smooth, nice transitions and feel and it does it's job great.

Google Currents - I used to like Pulse News and I fell in love with Flipboard before it came out on Android when I saw a video of it and really enjoyed them both, but there is something about Currents that keeps me coming back. Although I still use Flipboard, I prefer the smoothness and UI of Currents a little more.

Android Pro Widgets - I prefer and almost exclusively use APW for my calendar, bookmarks, Facebook, messaging and Twitter widgets. The customizations are great.

PlayerPro Music Player - again believe me, I tried every music player out there. Although I use Google Music to access the 11k+ songs I have on my home desktop, I continue to stick with PlayerPro for all my offline music that I keep on my phone. The UI and widget options are better than the rest and the ability to pull up lyrics to any song just by long pressing it is great.

You can all wake up now. ;)

Is there an email app that you can sign out of? My mom insists on using the browser to check her yahoo email instead of the app because she wants to be able to sign out when she's done, but then she complains that the buttons are too small.

Have MailDroid FREE installed. Its got M O R E functions than the others. Dont try enhanced email, eventually it will break down.

You can set up your own folders per email account, create rules for incoming mail, and get this: you C A N adjust the font size. The interfacing while composing even has the microsoft windows type platform. You adjus/ fonts, colors, add attachments you can SEE, insert animation, etc....even use graphics in headers and siggys. Its got the easiest account setup (auto and manual) and the best "mass delete" feature than any of the others. No returning or repopulating 'deleted' emails. Cant do that with unhanced email

The link should be reviews/posts back in this string. I will repost it here in a bit.

ok i have had enough of Enhance Emails accumulating bugs and breaks that never gets fixed or recurs within days of an update. Without going into the bad to worsening experience with that app, i am trying out MailDROID. This email app does out rank Enhance Email, leaves it in the dust.

Got the same and much more features. One cool feature with MailDROID is how you can use pictures in your siggy at the end of an email.

Click and see if this is the free or Paid version, you can get to the free version by scrolling down to "associated apps"

I may just be missing this, and have posted in another thread asking this, but how do you go to the next email in Maildroid without backing out to the inbox? Is there also a user manual for Maildroid?

Picsart - It's the best photo editor app for me so far.
Myscript Calculator - very useful calculator for me
Swapps! - Nice and handy app

I have the paid version I liked MailDroid that much, I don't know about the free, but the paid version has the up and down arrows at the bottom of the reading panel you can scroll or browse up and down the emails in the account from the same screen.

If you hit the menu key on the phone/device it should take you to an "About MailDroid"submenu. you can find feature info there.

Thanks for the response Rico. I'm not sure if something went wrong with my install or if it just lacks the feature, but my free version, as installed, does not have the arrows in your picture.

Thanks also for pointing out the feature info, but that only seems to have release notes and not instructional guide.

I should browse the free version more and see whats included in the free app. I am sorry about that. I jumped into the paid version after using the free for a short while knowing i wanted the full version. I missed noticing last and next mail option when i had the free version.

Those look nice, but are almost the same thing Widgetsoid provides with quite a lot of widget customization. I never think of Widgetsoid when thinking of a favorite app, but I've been using it for 2 years and couldn't live without it (although there are plenty of others out there).

Found a couple of great little freebie apps by the same creator, one is ABC Volume and the other ABC Brightness, just perfect for what I've been looking for.

ABC Volume https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEwMiwiYWJjLnNvZnR3YXJlLmFiY3ZvbHVtZSJd

ABC Brightness https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DIxMiwiYWJjLnNvZnR3YXJlLmFiY2JyaWdodG5lc3MiXQ..

Glad I posted it then. :) It's so great, I even recently switched my ASUS Transformer's launcher from Apex Pro to TSF Shell and I was using Apex Pro for what seems like a year+. FYI TSF wasn't super tablet friendly when it first came out, but now it is.

PowerOne.

Best scientific calculator ever. They also have a financial calculator.

Brand new product but the reason I recommend it is based on my use of their PowerOne Graph product that I used on my Palm Zire. THAT was an incredible product.

Weakness of this Android version is in the displays but capabilities of it can't be denied.

With bluetooth obd 2 adapter, you can diagnose your car's problem and monitor lots of sensors' readings. Thanks to the app, recently, I found my car's coolant fan switch wasn't functioning properly. I couldn't have notice it without this app. Because a temp gauge in an instrument panel showed normal while Torque showed a little too hot:mad:. Torque has saved me costs of tow truck and repair in the coming summer.:)

Root Explorer has got to be my favorite and most used. I've had it since it first came to market. Despite the dated UI its the best file explorer I've used.

I don't know if I'd call it my favorite but I agree this is a great app. I'm not a car expert so I'm not using it for fixing things myself but its great for the peace of mind you get from seeing why the check engine light came on and if its something urgent or something I can bring up to my mechanic next time I'm there.

I've used root explorer and really like it, but recently I've found ES explorer to be better - primarily because it does everything RE does but in addition provides easy wifi access to computers on my lan, plus ftp, etc.
Makes it easy to transfer files and backups from my device to my PC, or vice versa. RE cannot do that.

Based on how useful an app is and what it does or provides for me, I'd have to say that Google Translate ranks at or near the top spot.

At 41, I never thought I would see a time when I could communicate with anyone of any nationality so easily. It lets me post in various languages. Speak-to-text and text-to-speech in any language. Amazing!
