Help Favorite contacts widget missing

Hey everyone. I along with a few others are having an issue where there is no widget for favorite contacts. It shows in the application manager but it's not an option in the widgets area. Is anyone else missing this widget and does anyone know if it would be possible to get it? We're on Verizon if that helps. Thanks in advance

Yea same issue here. Oddly enough if you switch to an alternate launcher like Nova the contacts widget shows up.

Yes I have been posting about this too. I really do need that widget. As a business owner that is a very important widget that my old bionic had which I used always. I hope they add or fix this in an update. Not the business friendly phone they are touting.

Don't get me wrong, the phone has been amazing for the most part but is lacking a few key things to make the business friendly device they are advertising.

This is my first Android phone so I'm not sure what widget your talking about, but I used the direct dial widget and it had me select a contact. Would that work for you guys?

Its not just the Galaxy S4 missing this widget. I think it may just be all newer versions of android without it.
I had it on my bionic, but my wife had a Razr M for a while and that phone didnt have it. Came with a newer version of android than what was on my Bionic.
When the Bionic got the update, the app stayed. But Id bet no other phones with newer android versions have that widget.
I do miss it.
I put a small 1x1 contacts widget for each of my favorite ontacts on one of the homescreens, and it works just the same. But doesnt look nearly as good. Its a bunch of separate icons rather than one nice widget.

I can't get the contact 1x1 widget to stay on any page. If I hold and drag it to a screen, it takes me to the contact screen, and after selecting a contact, nothing's there.

I've been using Favorite Contacts Widget Blur for a while now, and it's pretty awesome. It's based on the original Motorola (hence blur) favorite contacts widget, which was awesome but only was available to older Motorola devices.
