Help Favorite Dial Wrong Number

My dad has the Note 3. Sometimes when he selects an icon in his favorites to dial, it actually dials the wrong person. This doesn't happen every time and not with every favorite contact, but does happen quite often. I did notice in the application manager, under all apps, the phone app shows up three times. I dont know why its there 3 times and didnt want to delete any for fear of deleting the wrong one if that is possible. Not sure if that is the issue. I deletes the cache in all the dialers, but no help. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Hi. I've seen this happen before (to me). Write down all associated phone numbers for back up, then delete them. Restart the phone and try to store the numbers that you deleted manually (assuming that they are all different). THEN, delete the cache. If you see more than one dialer, then delete all except for one.

Thanks! How would you choose which dialer? They are each different sizes for some reason.
If it has a date associated with them, then use the latest date. You should also have a look at your backup. I use Google and have ONLY Google numbers showing because that is where I save all of my numbers for backup. If you don't, then you are likely to see repeat numbers.

When you open a contact, look under "connected via" and see if there is more than one connection source listed. For me (since I use Google), I see the "G" only.
