favorite movie of the 2010's era

ocnbrze

DON'T PANIC!!!!!!!!!
one of my favorite has to go to the movie Source Code as it is so original:

i know that there are many superb movies that came out in the decade......including the best ending to all things Marvel in the Avengers: End Game.

but i'm thinking more of the lines of originality and something that is not a sequel or belong to a series.

.....so what is your favorite movie?

Don’t know if I can necessarily pick a favorite, but one I just saw yesterday is certainly in the running: Ford vs. Ferrari. Really excellent movie, and worth seeing on the big screen. IMHO it’s the best screen work I’ve seen from Christian Bale. Even if you aren’t a car fan (or racing fan) you’re likely to enjoy it.
yeah i'm bummed i did not get to see that on the big screen. it looks to be an amazing movie. i just had no time to see it.

A quick IMDb look reminded me of a true classic: The King’s Speech, which was an amazing film. Also a favorite is Hidden Figures. OTOH, “The Favorite,” curiously enough, was definitely not a favorite of mine.
great choices. i have not seen hidden figures though, but i have read the book and loved it.

ummmm sorry the last king kong film i believe is the peter jackson movie in 2005......great movie, but does not belong in this thread.

Well there was Kong: Skull Island(2017). Which is NOT a great movie, and probably killed the franchise from any more movies in the immediate future.

Hopefully there will be no more American made Godzilla movies either.

hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!

let's keep this thread to the 2010's.......for people who do not know that's from 2010 to 2019. 2020 starts a new decade.

another great 2010's movie is:

Your, absolutely right . Im glad you mentioned it because I hadn't realized that I had lost focus on the main topic. Now that Im aware, I will keep it in mind for this thread and future threads. Thank you

Avengers Endgame was a real good movie but I preferred Avengers Infinity War better. In all the other Marvell movies it the only one that at the end of the movie the super vilian is victorious. Great ending.

really???????

i loved End Game because it brought everything together very nicely in the end. it had so many easter eggs and paid homage to so many things.

ie:
or

do not get me wrong, i loved Infinity War. But Endgame just provided so many fan services that i would have to vote Endgame higher than Infinity War.

it is the kind of fan service that I wished Rise of Skywalker had added in (even though i still loved the movie!!!).

I watched Infinity War with my daughter. Her verdict: "I love Thanos. He's just a nice guy. Sure he killed half the universe, but he did it for a good reason. I'll be really pissed-off if they kill him in the next one."

I don't know whether she's seen Endgame yet. I certainly don't want to be the one who tells her that they kill Thanos twice... ;)
