fbook application? How do I get it on my g1 phone?

You download it from the marketplace on the actual handset, that is what you are doing?

But are you using the market application on the handset or the web browser? you can download it form the market application

It is much easier to just go to the url. I noticed nothing special with the app, I don't even use it.

I went to the url, I can't access the notification bar.

I went to the link provided http://www.cyrket.com/search?q=facebook and could not find a place where it could be downloaded.

I'm ashamed of myself.

also, the facebook 'should I?' application...... come on!?!?!?!?

Download Barcode Scanner from the market, and then scan the barcode on the cyrket.com link. That will point your phone to the appropriate app on the Android Market.

After barcode scanning.....
There are no matches in Android Market for the search: pname.nextmobileweb.fbook

Maybe I am missing something fundamental within the unit. COuld it be I need to download something to make it more compatible?

use Market App ...
Click search
Type fbook and enter
one app will come up fBook - Facebook for Android

also use this to find info and links for apps in the market http://www.cyrket.com/search?q=facebook
you will notice on the results page there is a drop-down selection depending on SDK version build for your phone ... 1.0, 1.1 or 1.5

why does it seem like people don't know where the Market App is on their phone? It's like they think it's a website they have to get to with their browser.

Because alot don't.

I think it's a good thing, means that the g1 and other smartphones are getting out into the public now. Good stuff.

No question is a bad one. :)

it sucks that I am coming across as such a moron, but I'm wondering if there is another solution to this problem. I have done that a number of times, and now it reads: There are no matches in Android Market for the search: fbook
