I'm trying to create an app that allows the user to feed their device's Android display through the USB port. With the right cable, they could drive the video data to an external monitor (HDMI, VGA, etc). Is it possible to create an app like this without rooting the device?
If so, how would I go about feeding the display data? I know that I would probably need to use the android.hardware.usb package, but I don't know where to go from there.
