So, you may have seen me earlier with that horribly crappy ICS themed ROM :( lol. But, in my recent time I have ported MIUIv4, Sense 3.5, and CNA (CodeNameAndroid) to the Optimus V (Go check out the forums on androidcentral if you don't believe me) ;)
Anyways, if anybody wants me to, I would gladly try to port one of these ROMs to the Triumph. Development would be slow, due to me still not having the phone, but I'll try my best :)
 
Maybe you should start a poll??

I would vote MIUIv4. And if you are amazing enough, maybe you could help fix camera or HDMI on our ICS based roms. The more devs we have, the better :)

So you still don't have a phone, but have you ordered one or what?
I assume you are planning on getting one?

I agree with you he should start a poll because I know what I would like to see MIUIV4 since its already in progress, then for me MotoBlur but sense everybody is going for Sense that might before the MotoBlur port. So I'll have to say Sense because its something I haven't had on the MT well I have it on the OV now because of him. I'll a guinea pig Gannon if you need a few.
 
Well I don't know how to start a poll on a 'already started' thread, but if anyone wants it, I'll start a new one. I have learned from past mistakes that if I jump into too many projects at once, it gets a little hectic.
For the Optimus V, I found many similar and popular phones to port the ROMs over from. One of them being the Optimus One, which is by far one of the most popular (rooting wise) mdpi phones out there. The other being the HTC hero CDMA, which is the same.
I'm going to need to do a little research, but it won't be too hard to find a 1ghz, hdpi, cdma phone to port things from.
I am going to need a tester, of course. My last one's phone is a little wonky now ;)
I believe CNA was my easiest port (besides all my gingerbread ones), so if I get one of my other ports going good I'm going to do think about doing that

So, seeing how Sense isn't going good for me on my Optimus V, (I'm having a bit of trouble getting wifi and data to work, and it will be a while before it does) I'm going to take the easy path and try CodeNameAndroid as well as MIUIv4.

I need 1-2 testers for it. Please PM me if you are interested :)

Phones that are like the MT are the Thunderbolt and Desire. There are probably more, but I know a lot of stuff from a lot of roms here are based off of stuff from the Thunderbolt and Desire.
