i changed from an s2 to an s3 the other day getting on really well with it but have a few questions
first one is i use swiftkey 3 but every time i restart my phone it swaps back to the samsung keyboard even tho my default is set to swift key any one know how i can stop this from happening as i cant find a way to delete the samsung keyboard
second question is when i use google maps to plan a route it shows me where to go but does not tell me like it did on my s2 and i cant figure out how to turn on the voice so i dont have to keep looking at my phone to see where to go
many thanks

Regarding your first question, I am experiencing the same issue with Perfect Keyboard Pro, so it's an Android bug, not a keyboard one. From what I've read, Jelly Bean version 4.1.2 is a bug-fix release and it addresses this issue. Have a look at this link:

After Jelly Bean update, Swiftkey keeps returning to android default keyboard after restart or shutdown

With regard to spoken directions, as far as I'm aware this is something that you get when you switch from Directions to Navigation by pressing the arrow-head icon in the bottom-right of the screen.

thanks for your help . at least i know its a bug now so will wait . as for the spoken directions i tried what you said and works fine now haha
thanks mate

I have an s3 and have switched keyboards to the new android one and don't have any issues with it when restarting. I'll have a poke around the settings and see if I can find out what the problem might be.

I'm not having that problem. I'm in the UK on 3 running Jelly Bean 4.1.1. Have just installed swift key and restarted my phone several times with no problem. If you need the settings I'm using I can post them here, not sure if that will help though because I can see several people are having the same problem.

thanks will be worth a go and see if it helps or not

OK here goes
Language and input, tick the boxes that say swift key and Google voice typing, untick Samsung keyboard.
Click the button above them that says default then click the swift key choice. Like I said don't know if that will work but it seems to be OK on mine.
