I have had the optimus elite for a little over a week now and am on the $35 plan.I plan on getting as big as a micro sd card as i can for the phone since i am using bittorrent on it.Wha'ts the maimumsize sd card it can take?

The LG Optimus Elite can handle up to a 32GB microsd card.

I have a 32 GB micro SD in mine. That is listed as the maximum under the Elite's specs. I do not know if it will recognize 64 GB or not. My 32 GB is overkill.
Note that you can only store music, pictures, and videos on the "external" micro SD card, not apps.

Amazon is where I got mine, too.
I usually expand the memory on my computers and phones to the maximum right away. It eliminates lack of memory becoming a performance problem, and keeps me from kicking myself in the butt if I find myself needing the extra storage space at some point.
