Of course there is a way.
If you have a pc and the necessery tools (I use Odin) then you can update your device without Kies.
first you have to download the rom and odin downloader.
after that you can flash to the new rom by connecting your phone in downloading mode to pc.
it will be good to read the odin tutorial first.
google for "galaxy mini stock roms" and you will get everything
