Fi Port Out

Is it a pain to port out of Google Fi? There are some lurid stories floating around.

When you get your account number and PIN, do they have an expiration date, or can you drag your feet indefinitely?

port out? why can't you just switch? have not seen horror stories about it. and no i do not think accounts and pins will expire. why don't you like google fi?

No clue about FI, but dragging your feet is never a good idea.

Many, if not most, PINs have expiration dates, and twice now my ol'lady has purchased phones but neglected to activate soon enough and now they cannot be- unless she finds the receipt, goes back to the store, and has them rescan it.

That takes a ton of explaining and is a real pain and takes time.

The reason I became a Fi customer (automatic network switching) disappeared when T-Mobile gobbled up Sprint.
I think $10 per GB of data is outrageous, so I try not to use any, which becomes a nuisance.
Mint Mobile gives you 4 GB per month on the same T-mobile network, so I wonder why I am still on Fi.
My Other Half has been on Mint Mobile for more than two years, and has had zero problems.

Good or bad, I did it.

"Number Transfer in progress" is what Mint Mobile is telling me, and I have a temporary number (which no one knows) which works.

Completed. I am now a Mint Mobile customer, and nothing got fouled up.

E-SIM is great!
