My phone won't download system update without Wi-Fi enabled, which I can't get around. Help!

I recently found out that some new phones will only receive OTA system updates over wifi,mine included. I guess phone manufacturers think wifi link may be more stable than the carriers data connection and less chance of bad or corrupt download due to poor signal. Haven't heard of a way around it yet.

Why? Did you want to download it via mobile data? Using WiFi is better anyway.
