I'm cheap. I also have insurance so fifty bucks will get me a new phone. Any cases out there comparable to the otterbox but priced more reasonably?

Well you need to be more responsible then.
I personally would drop the ins and buy a good case.

I will sell you mine for $25. PM me if you want info. I took the plastic screen off though. I have an extended battery now, cant use the case anymore.

I just got the Seidio Surface from Amazon for under 25 bucks! It is a 2 piece, snap together case that will provide more than adequate protection. It barely adds any bulk to the phone and has a great feel to it. I am very pleased with it.

Buddy, overpay if you must but I'm telling you amazon has the otterbox with clip for $30. It's the exact same as the $50 one.

hey you're right, I just found it. I don't know why I didn't find it before when I was looking around. I assumed when you said 30 bucks you were referring to the Commuter Case, not the Defender case.
and this will fit with the extended batter?

Great case for standard battery:

I found it in a local Verizon store (not corporate). It's part plastic, part pliable material. Nice and snug around the phone and sleek. And actually looks cool. Here's a link for reference, but it doesn't seem too accessible online. Very nice case.
