Figured I would share this article....

Stupid iPhone. I seriously hate how ignorant people can be how they say that their iPhone is the best phone out there when its not even close.

No it really isnt. People with iPhones are usually smug people who act like jackasses because they have the worlds best phone because someone said it was. They usually no nothing about technology or what features the phone can do. They just know that oh you can download apps and apple made it so its the best. If they would take the time to research and look into the android platform and see how big our marketplace is all the features you can do with our phone like rooting, wireless tethering, etc you would see how more superior any android phone is than the iPhone.

Biased much? Calm down. Seriously. The iPhone is a great phone. Sure, Android does some cool things, but that doesn't mean EVERYBODY wants to root or EVERYBODY wants to tether. Android isn't the most user friendly interface either, and it has bugs. Some people just like the iPhone better, or the iPhone has apps they use that Android doesn't have. The App Store has a lot more apps than Android, I believe. But just because YOU think people who own Apple products are jackasses or because you think the iPhone sucks just because you think Android is better, you're wrong. In fact, you're sort of being a jackass by your own definition by making that whole post. Give it time and I think Android will be a better OS and iOS. Also, the performance of the iPhone (disregarding the network, AT&T sucks) is pretty good. I think in a thread I made, the iPhone 4 compared best to the EVO or the Incredible, so it's right up there with performance.

And about not knowing the technology of the phone: You have to realize the majority of the Android phone users know nothing about root, know nothing about how they can screw with their phone to make it better to use or what they can do to increase battery life or anything like that.

Bottom line, the iPhone is a great phone for some people. It might not be the best for you, but it doesn't mean it's not best for someone else. It really IS a matter of opinion as to what you like best in a phone.
 
The way I see it most people buy the iPhone just to say they have one...not to utilize it to its full potential. Someone I work with is upgrading from the last iPhone to the new one. Hope they have better luck then some. I would be a bit pissed if i traded in a working phone for a flawed phone.

Yup, I noticed the same thing. The first one was moved to the Lounge already. Isn't there enough Eris stuff to talk about?
 
I really don't understand why the iphone winds people up so much.

If people want it for its apps and ipod then fine. That may make it the best phone to them.

Why do I drive a Peugeot but the guy next door drives a ford? Personal choice. Sure some get the iphone because it is regarded as cool, but so what? One thing you have to give apple is the way they have marketed the product as a superb aspirational item that you must have. You've got to credit them for that.

Also, I think the iphone was a revolutionary phone that led the way to the great androids we now have. If there was no iphone then the droids would simply not have developed like they have.

Live and let live. Don't get so wound up with peoples choices.

Again, that is your opinion.
Calling an Android phone superior is what the iZealots do with their iPhone.
I have shown many people my phone, but only after they asked to see it.
I only recommend a phone when asked.

It's very important that you avoid the fanboy trap.
