Apps File Formats of Android

Hello All,
I am trying to get deep knowledge about "Android",That is why i want know about file system of Android As windows have NTFS & FAT.

Will Anybody tell me,what are the file system in android OS which is widely used as mobile OS.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

As I understand it, it can vary by device but the main phone is usually a standard Linux fs like ext3 and the SD card some form of fat. Pre gingerbread they were big on YAFFS but that seems not to be too common anymore.

As for what it could be, again as I understand it android supports everything fs wise Linux does.

VFAT32 in addition to what @bioforce mentions, specifically for mounting device as data store.
