Help File Issue

[Lana30]

Hi Everyone,
I tried to open BearShareSetup-r7-n-be.exe, but have not been able to. There is a song I want. It is on my sd card (from Bearshare), but I forgot to hit “convert to mp3″ (never knowing I would need to. It played on a Verizon phone. The display stays black now). I can’t find any music players that will play that song. I figure if I download it fresh, I’d be all set. Any suggestions?

BearShareSetup-r7-n-be.exe is a Windows program.

Thanks for your reply. I know that not all EXE files will work on Android, but I have read that some will and I was wondering if this was one of them.

Take whoever told you that off your trusted sources list.

ha ha, Thanks I will. . So just to make sure..no EXE files will ever work on Android and that explains everything??

An .EXE is an executable Windows file. A program, if you will. The Android equivalent is the Application Package, or .APK file. I cannot imagine a scenario where an Android device could possibly run a Windows program. Hope this helps

Hi, Thanks for your reply. How about following the following tips. It should work this way, right?

That all depends on the executable, and whether or not your Android device will even run it. If it were me, I'd back up everything I could on my Android device before trying it, just in case. Proceed as you will, and let us know if it works!

BearShare! sheesh...I don't think you even want to run that on a PC, that's along with things like Grokster, Limewire and Kazaa.

I think I am going to abandon ship, ha ha. Thanks everyone!
