Hi there,
A little background for you in regards to what I am trying to do: I am a horse show photographer and we have a network set up when we are at shows to allow people to view their photos on site. Currently, our main PC (let's call it the host) is the computer that has all of the photos on it. It is running Windows 8.1. We use a program to tag/add keywords to each image corresponding to the horse and rider's number to enable faster searching. They come in, tell us their number, we type it into the search bar and all the images with their number in it come up.
We bought an Android tablet (just a cheapie Nextbook from Walmart) and are currently using an app called Emit to connect to the Host via SMB and display the photos wirelessly on the tablet. We bring a router with us, but do NOT have an internet connection. However, the application does not allow searching the metadata for keywords, only by file names.
Does anyone know of an application that will let us do that? I've tried Astro, File Manager (Explorer), Emit, and a few other no-namers that have claimed to search by metadata but haven't.
Thanks!
