Help file transfer impossible or extremely slow

trogne

Hi,

There are similar topics but no one helps.

The file transfer with usb is way too slow, and sometimes just impossible.

Why is that? How can I fix this ?

airdroid or kies air is not a solution for me. It doesn't work with folders, or with lots of files.

Thanks,

Patrick

I've found that the easiest solution is an USB-OTG cable and a thumb drive.

You might also try MyPhoneExplorer and needed for the PC.

Otg cable connects to the phone's micro USB port and "thumb" drive is those lil USB flash drives that plug into your PC, TV etc. Some people call them "pen" drives :)
Myself, i use a UHS Micro SD card in the phone and a cheap USB card-read/writer for the pc :)

I'm also waiting on this, it's now closed, but you can be notified when it's available here. I got in on the Kickstarter project and it's on track for delivery in July. I can finally put the microSD cards I've been accumulating.

Thats a great idea man. Somethin like that could actualy sway me to buy a Nexus device :) (if i had the cash lol)

USB-OTG is a cable that cannot connect to the pc.
Why is that?!?
What do you mean by thumb drive ?

In a nutshell, you copy files to your thumb drive (pen drive) that you insert into a USB port on your PC. You then attach the thumb drive (with the files you copied) to the OTG-USB cable (that I linked to) and attach that to the micro USB port on your phone. Personally, I have multiple android devices and I don't like to plug them directly to my PC as the drivers sometimes complain :)
