Help File transfer question

I am new to Android. Have the GS3. Loving it. How do I transfer a 7 gigabyte file from the GS3 to my iMac? I downloaded a file transfer program but the max size it will transfer is 4 gigs. Anyone know a solution to this?

I would use
1: Cyberduck on mac
2: any ftp file transfer app on the s3
Easy drag and drop, also the 4 gb limitation would be something related to the partition?

The 4gb limitation is due to Fat32. NTSF and exFat have done away with the limitation.
Use the exFAT File System and Never Format Your External Drive Again
