Films that make you feel physically sick....

I laughed when I watched Faces of Death and am the guy in the theatre laughing while everyone else gasps or shrieks.

Human Centipede made me want to throw up.

I felt quite uneasy throughout the majority of Hard Candy, and one scene in particular I almost stopped at. Started cringing....
Another one was the scene in Dead Alive where...
the elderly woman's ear falls off into her soup or whatever, and she eats it. :puke:

I can watch any kind of scary movie no matter how gory it is, but I can't watch zombie movies or movies with possessed dolls (Puppet Master was good though).

Jesus, this thread has bummed me out, ha.

I haven't seen them, but after reading the wiki's on the Cannibal Holocaust and a Serbian Movie, i nearly got ill just thinking of the images. Jesus christ, how the hell are people so sadistic to even think that stuff up, scary and sad.

For me personally, the only movies that just kill me and I can't seem to recover from are paranormal movies. I know they are all fake, but they really bother me to the core. I took the wife to see Paranormal Activity and it bothered me at night for a good month. THere is also a movie (supposedly based on a true story) with Barbara Hershey called "The entity", she gets raped multiple times by an invisible demon. Incredibly scary.

It's weird, i love gory movies and grew up on Freddy and Jason movies, but paranormal/demons, just destroy me. I think it's cause I can at least try to fight freddy or jason, but I can't a demon, ha.

FEAST 2 made me physically ill.. I dont usually have a weak stomach but this movie was disgusting. The first was disgusting as well but it didn't make me too sick. second one takes the crown. yuck!

A Serbian Film, I was nearly shaking at the end.
Problem is, it's so well made, film wise. Human Centipede was a joke. I always tell everyone never to see Serbian Film, it's just too disturbing.

I've seen plenty of movies that grossed me out or disturbed me (Saw series, Bug, etc.) but only once did I get up and walk out of a movie because it actually made me physically sick.

It was Saving Private Ryan. The realism of some of the scenes (most notably, obviously, the Omaha Beach scene) made me need to throw up, and I had to leave. I went back another day and gritted my teeth and got through it. It was worth it.

<edit> Actually, I've just seemingly perjured myself. I did get a very nauseated at a perfectly innocent documentary about the National Spelling Bee (I've forgotten the title) because of the excessive use of shaky cam. That really does it for me. I wouldn't leave because I was with a group and didn't want to sit out the movie in the lobby, so I had to hunker down in my seat (closest I could get to lying down) with my eyes closed for nearly the whole movie.

Have u seen a serbian film? Supposedly the most shocking movie ever made. Mostly a snuff film...a really fkced up snuff film

I recall the "Faces of Death" films. Not to mention, the films shown during Driver's Education back in the day. The Driver's Ed films made me wonder if I should drive and I worried about family members when they drove.

Some say that some scenes in the FOD films are fake, they can still disturb some people.

Not sure there is any proof that snuff films ever existed. And if they do, my guess is they are fake. I am not saying they do not exist, just wondering.

Something produced to make people with serious morality issues jump for joy.

um...I have had the strangest coincidences ..karma whatever...the last few days..I was just going to reply..The Faces of Death films...make me sick...(that is part of the reason I am a Vegetarian) and then I see you quoted Bword..um..that's my nickname!!!and my user name for a lot of stuff.. (don't even know why I chose huh for this forum)...but anywho...hmmmmm:rolleyes:

A Serbian Film is actually a well made movie. The quality of film and the production value were both very good. Now I don't disagree that some of the scenes were vile and disgusting but my brother and I watched it and neither one of us had trouble getting through it. I haven't watched a movie that made me physically sick because in the back of my mind I know that everything is fake.

Interesting you mention this.

As someone who skirts around the distant and unimportant edges of the MP busiess, I am use to the technology and the various jobs required to make films.

Whenever I see a scene that is supposed to be scary, all I can see are the grips, the director, camera man, the Craft Services tables, and others behind the camera, tripor or Steadycam.

Not to mention, I "see" the blue/green screen and not even the actors see the horror they interact with.

It is very hard for me to get scared these days. Knowing what goes on has largely ruined things for me.
