"Filter messages like these" in Gmail for Android

I use this feature on the desktop all the time to get rid of email that has piled up from one or multiple senders. I cannot find this option anywhere in the Gmail for Android app. Does it exist? Have I overlooked it? Or is it desktop only?

I would think (guess) you have to set it up on the web, but then the filter would work on mobile as well. Is that not what you are seeing? I have only basic filters in place.

This isn't a manually created filter. It' a default option in GMail that let's you select similar messages so you can act on them all in one group.

Interesting, not used that option then. What sort of similar messages? Like to send all coupon type emails to spam? That sort of thing?

It typically groups them by sender but it's able to match senders that you may not be able to match yourself.

This is where you can find it and try for yourself
