FINALLY Fool proof Samsung SGH-t599 AKA Samsung Galaxy Exhibit Root!!

Hello androidforums community! As a Samsung Galaxy Exhibit owner I have been looking for months now for a harmless root I tried using a rom but I destroyed my phone. But today I finally found a harmless two click root that will root your device with no hassle. This actually works with most android devices as they have a root access bug that this root exploits. :)

The root is called Cydia Impactor and for the SGH-T599 i used V.0.9.12

I felt like sharing this considering other people might be looking!

I'm still trying to find a detailed guide on How to Root Samsung Galaxy Exhibit SGH-T599N. Due to a lack of app 2 SD feature (Which is seriously Lame!) I am thinking of trying to root this thing. But I want as much information as possible. I couldn't get above link to work. Any help would be much appreciated!
 
Has anyone verified that this works? Also,What do you do with the downloaded file? Just install it?

Edit: Yes, the Impactor DOES work with the Tmobile SGH-T599 Galaxy Exhibit phone! (and I guess the MetroPCS version as well). Just make sure you have installed Samsung's drivers onto your PC first. Otherwise (at least in my case) Impactor didn't "see" the phone and wouldn't do anything. But as soon as I went to Samsung's website and downloaded the drivers, and put them on my win7 laptop... THEN when I connected my phone and ran the program, it suddenly worked.

For those wondering (as it's confusing) to actually run the program, just hit START or ENTER or whatever it was (there's a long command line, and then a START box. If everything is connected okay and you want to do it, just press that START box). It'll go through a little routine ("testing" "installing package", etc). and in less than a minute it will be done. It won't say finished, but it'll go back to its opening command. Again, make sure you have the drivers installed on your pc, and make sure you've gone into settings/development options... turn that ON... then make sure "USB Debugging" is clicked. Then (if you have the drivers installed in your pc) the the impactor works.
It does not install a superuser util though it seems.. so you have to get that from the google play store. But you can also download plenty of free "root checker" aps to verify that it's rooted. Enjoy
 
I installed the Samsung drivers on my PC and did the USB/Dev thing on the phone, but when I run it, it seems to be working at it for a bit, but then it craps out with some kind of error (it has something like "size==size" at the end of it). Has anybody else run into this, or have any suggestions??
 
Can some one please help me please I really want to root my sgh-t599n ive looked and looked all over the web ive even tried to to get help from developers but ive had no luck some one please be kind and help me ive tried these methods but they dont seem to work please help

look up t599 cwm recovery . install than post back when done
 
Hello. I was wondering if there was a way to root the phone without a computer? The only reason I want to root is to store apps on my SD card. Ive been to the Google play store and downloaded a bunch of app2sd apps but they didn't work. Can anyone help? Thanks.
 
I got my t599n rooted,and using rom tool box pro...all features in rom tool box pro dont work on my device....cant seem to install cwm....or get apps to actually download to sd card ...any help will b appreciated....wht phone r u trying to root lala?
 
Just a note to confirm this method roots the phone. You must install the latest Samsung drivers first. Then run the program. I had to run it twice, second time was the charm. I recommend installing a superuser app, Link2SD and Titanium Backup.
