Finally after almost having my Razr Maxx year now I am getting brave enough to start trying lock screens, launchers, and hd widgets. Still a little nervous about trying these things, don't want to mess anything up.

HD Widgets is great, been using for a long while now for weather. It's a little confusing at first (I thought anyway) but once you figure it out it's a nice thing to have.
Launchers, widgets etc. really shouldn't mess anything up...they are pretty straightforward and, for the most part, work quite well. If something seems to be going wrong ask, ask, ask. If you really get nervous or don't like it a quick uninstall is not a bad thing
