Find another phone?

Hi all,

I'm searching, fruitlessly thus far, for an app I can use to find another phone or show my proximity to another phone. Specifically, my wife has a habit of wandering off in crowded stores while my back is turned, and I'm interested to see if there's an Android app out there that could help me find her/her phone.

We're both carrying Atrix phones with Gingerbread, if it makes a difference.

Thanks!

Most of those apps use GPS.....which may not work great inside.

You could always call her!

I use google maps and latitude to get general vacinity but it's not accurate enough for your application.

I have an Atrix as well. I don't really like the motoblur Location feature because the GPS has to already be turned on in order to locate the phone. (I leave my GPS off). I use" Lookout" which does the same thing but better. It will turn on the GPS on the phone to get a lock. The down side is you have to be logged into Lookout on their website, to use this. You can try "Google Latitude" as well. This would probably work better. The only thing is if indoors, you will not get a dead on lock.

You could put Seekdoid or Lookout on both phones, you can sign into her account to locate her, she could sign into yours to locate you.

Hate to have to, esp when she doesn't always answer...

I understand GPS is spotty indoors...what about a Bluetooth solution? Something that will give me the strength of her Bluetooth signal, kinda like WiFi Analyzer does with WiFi signal strength?
