Finding an E Reader is a nightmare!

Hi, I didn't realise I'd already registered onto this forum until I tried to register, how bad am I? I'm looking for a little bit of help in the purchase of an Android E Book Reader. I take the following on holiday:

Books
Music on my HTC Phone
Nintendo DS & several games
MP3 Player

I want to take all those on one devide thereby leaving my phone free just for texts and calls.

Ideally I want to read in direct sunlight.

Can anyone recommend a good one please?

Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

Kind Regards

Catherine

Hi Catherine!

It would really depend on how much you want to spend... also (perhaps to a lesser extent) where in the world you are (not all tablets/ereaders are available everywhere, although you would prolly be able to buy them nonetheless... for example, the Kindle Fire isn't released in the UK yet, but I know I can buy one (not too expensive either) on ebay and have it shipped here)! :)

Cheers,
D

Between my wife, my kids and I, we have sony readers, kindles, and a kindle fire.
One big difference with sony and eink kindles is the ability to read in the sun and that is the reason my wife is keeping her eink reader is for beach days. Unfortunately, I know of no eInk android readers.

She does love her kindle fire however and it does all the things you are looking for at a reasonable price $200.

Regarding her kindle for the beach, they can be had for as little as $50 and the books are interchangeable between all of her devices. She puts it into a ziploc baggie for cheap protection from sand and water and can read fine in full sun.

Anyway, hope this helps!:)

For just an e-reader, stick with one of the e-ink devices. There is no other device that compares with an e-ink e-reader just for reading. They're cheap, have long battery life and store tons and tons of books. They are a highly specialized device, but no other device does the job better.
