Finding some in ear headphones...

When I'm at home I always use my Bose On Ears. However, I'd rather not take these out (even though they are the portable Bose headphones) and they're not comfortable when biking.
I used to have a pair of JVC XX which were bout

Hi Mehta,

The answer is quite difficult, because it completely depends on the preferences of the listener. Do you prefer heavy bass? Do you listen to classical music? What kind of soundstage is preferred? etc.

Over the course of the last few years I almost purely used Sennheisers, going from the Sennheiser CX-300 to the CX-300II and now the CX-400II.
I can pretty much recommend them, I think they are really nice overall, but do have a slight bit of tendency to overpower in the bass deparment (just a bit!).

Overall, they give excellent quality for the price (which can be closer to

Cheers.

I listen to a wide range of genres, but I'd like a nice bass (not 'farting') and some good highs too.

You may want to review your laws regarding headphones while biking. Many places in the US (I realize you're not in the US) require that cyclists on the road wear one headphone if at all so they can hear vehicles approaching from behind.

That said, I have a set of Zagg headphones that I was VERY happy with, they have now been replaced with a bluetooth headset, not because they failed but because I wanted bluetooth. I only use them when walking or around the house.

I've never heard of an actual law like that but I can see why it would be enforced in America. I tend to not have my music so loud that I can hear other cars anyway.

Edit; I've been on amazon and I have to ask, are the Sennheisers worth 2/3 as much as the Jvc? The ones I had before are now

When it comes to headphones or in-ear V-Moda Rocks the house in all generes of music. They are pretty good units and availible on Amazon for a lower price.

This roundup of IEMs is well worth a read. It starts with cheapos and works up to expensive earphones.

Multi-IEM Review - 293 IEMs compared (Etymotic Research ETY-Kids Added 08/12/13 p.748)

I myself was in the market for a set of cheap earphones that provide the best sound for the least money. Reading this roundup from the start I noticed that the Vsonic earphones had really high sound quality for the same price as poorly rated phones.

I started to look into the different Vsonic models and found this forum thread on head-fi.org where this guy raves about the Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition IEMs and I bought the same ones from the ebay link he provided.

I'm Done (Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition) VS GR06

Here's another review of the Vsonic phones (remember, these guys on head-fi are Sound Quality obsessives who have compared a lot of headphones):

[REVIEW] VSONIC GR01, GR02 Bass Edition, GR06 and GR99

They cost about

I've realised that the linked GR02BE are the ones I'd want (I couldn't see the pictures on my phone.

After a readthrough of that guide, I've got my eye on a few other IEMs now - Astrotec AM800 (rated better sound than the GR02) and the RHA MA350 (decent, said to be smoother than the GR02, but with a 3 year warranty)

Help? :P

Just if anyone is interested, I finally got my hands on some Astrotec AM800s from CHina. They look pretty nice (not sure on the wood though) and the sound is pretty great. Gonna need to try the smaller tips as not being able to push them in far enough ruins the SQ.
