Finding the right Android device (specific)

This is coming from an iPhone 3GS user. I'm tired of the Apple OS. It's bland, but sturdy. The Android seems to do more also. iPhone can, but one must unlock their phone, causing stability issues. And if you're not near your computer when these issues happen, you're SOL.

What I'm looking for needs:
720p recording
8mp camera
Internal flash memory (more than 2gb) as well as expandable
1Ghz or faster
512mb or more
HDMI
4G

I know more and more Androids are utilizing the Hummingbird processor that Apple uses, which is nice. I'm just having trouble finding everything in one package.

There Droid X meets all your requirements except 4g and Evo meets them except internal memory. You might have to wait for the Droid Bionic. That has 4g. I think the Htc thunderbolt meets your requirements as well.

For the record, the Apple uses its own variant of the ARM processor - not a Hummingbird.

What processor or processors do the iPhone models use? @ EveryiPod.com

Put processor last on your list, in my opinion. The big gain there on various newer models will be GPU capability, maybe important if you're a heavy gamer.

None of the 1GHz or better Android processors are dogs by any stretch of the imagination. In fact - I'd put the processor in the MyTouch 3G or Evo Shift 4G at 800 MHz up to anything in an iPhone for overall capability.

Are you stuck on AT&T or are you thinking of switching carriers? That's a big factor in what's available and right for you.

BTW - with Android 2.2 (built-in) and Android 2.1 (with a helper app) you can move or put many apps on the SD card, possibly freeing what you were requiring for built-in 2GB or higher flash memory - and - most all of your data does go to the SD card. The minimum SD card you're likely to find included is 2GB, 8GB is typical, and most all seem to accept up to 32GB cards.

Well I finally got around to reading some CES reviews and the ATRIX looks to be the new EVO, in terms of hype and punch-packing features. May have to go with that. It outdoes the Bionic too. Hopefully AT&T's network expands with their new implementation. If not, I'll have to go Bionic.

My contract with AT&T is up in June.
