Root Finding zip file for rom

I placed the .zip file on the root directory of the sd card, then booted into bootstrap recovery and the .zip file was not on the sd card root directory. What could cause this?
 
did u place it on the sdcard or phone memory (should be placed on sdcard for bootstrap) if your flashing a rom, you should only flash a rom with safestrap Not boot strap.
