Help Fingerprint sensor

Mine just went out on my s7 edge. I use my phone to hold important files so the sensor make it easier to open my phone quickly for security reasons. Anything I can do to repair it, or should I take it back in? Need a quick answer if possible. Thanks!

Have you tried restarting the phone, or possibly try a factory reset, in case it's just acting funky. Or just take it back in, get them replace it or something.

Honestly been afraid to try a factory reset haha I'll give it a shot now. The last resort is taking it back in for a replacement. I'll post with the results
