Firefox OS Dev Preview

I just installed the Firefox OS 2.5 Developer Preview app on CM12.1 & I wouldn't recommend it, even just for trying it out.

First start of the app was unsuccessful, had to close out, clear it then reopen it (not a huge issue). After the app started the icons failed to show, seems it's required to set it as the default launcher before they'll load, so I did just that.

After that I noticed there was no WiFi icon so I went into the settings to find that it refuses to detect any WiFi network, turns out WiFi was still on it just couldn't detect it. So, after trying out the browser it decided to crash the app after I started typing in an address.

Well, by then I was over checking it out, so off I went to reset my launcher, couldn't find a single option to restore it, luckily I was able to open the default status bar where I was able to get into the default settings app where I was able to get my phone back to normal.

So, currently I'd have to give the app 2.5/5, I know this is a preview & you can't expect everything to work but it is what it is, maybe it's just my phone, who knows.

Has anyone installed this on other ROMs? If so, was that experience any better? Post your reviews below if you'd like.

For some reason I'm unable to update anything after installing this app, logcat seems to show multiple errors during the update process relating to database insertion problems among other errors (phone is off due to overheating or I'd check it). I think I'm going to have to re-flash CM though I might try another ROM just for the heck of it.

Dude, I looked at this, thinking maybe part of your issue was the LP ROM. Had the same freeze on first run, no icon, and WiFi issues as you. When I set it as default launcher and rebooted, it wouldn't even load. Had to boot into safe mode and uninstall it to get rid of it. What I did manage to see of it, I was not impressed. The huge icons are ugly and the whole thing felt clunky. I think this might be more intended for tablets.
I'm on the Xperia zv6 ROM.
