Help Firmware crashed?

Loughlini

Lurker
My A515 crashed with a blank screen. I can restart it and it displays the Startup Android page (see photo). Does this mean the firmware has crashed? How can I recover from this? I cannot get the phone to do anything my tapping, swiping, etc. It's stuck.

if you can put the device into download mode, you should be able to flash a firmware update that should bring your phone back to life.

https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-galaxy-a51/download-mode/

also get your firmware from https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/. just make sure to use the correct firmware for your device as they are very device specific and using the wrong could brick the phone.

if you can't get into download mode, then you are pretty much screwed at this point.

Thanks. Unfortunately I can only get the Side button & Volume Down buttons to work which causes a restart (back to square one). It displays the screen in my photo above. Can't enter any other commands. It's completely stuck.
