Firmware for 5linx Velocity v2 RockChip 3066

Hi, its me again well.. now I got more info for this garbage tablet (I know is sad)

Now my question is: where can I download a firmware for this tablet:

Brand: 5LINX
OS: Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean
Model: Velocity v2
CPU: RockChip = RK3066
Display: 5 Point Capacitive 8” Touchscreen 1024 X 768 IPS Glass Screen

A month ago, I made a post http://androidforums.com/general-tablet-talk/753599-5linx-velocity-v2-tablet-help.html but no one could help me.

Looking for more info I found a article that talks about how to restore the e-tablet using a firmware. In my case restore a RockChip 3066.

With nothing to lose, I tried to restore the firmware based on tablets rk3066. Some times the screen works, G-sensor, etc but the screen doesn't work to touch.

Well I don't know if I can install a drivers or modify the img firmware using the android sdk.

==============

Also, I found a (i guess) firmware for 5linx velocity v1 as a zip version. So this is another question, How can I convert a ZIP firmware to IMG firmware?

If you ask why? because as zip firmware I need use the volume buttons (+) and (-) and unfortunately 5linx Velocity V2 doesn't have volume buttons. So as a img firmware I can use the rock chip utility or fastboot from android sdk.

If YOU GUYS know how to convert zip to img let me tell you whats the content of that zip.

I was looking for a tutorial but unfortunately I only found guides to how unpack a firmware and they don't talk how to repack them as img only as apk.

----------------

I tried the follow firmware:

Pipo tablets with rk3066
Ployer tablets with rk3066 (only custom img because the official firmware doesn't want to open on rock chip utility and I don't know why)

These firmware worked as (in my opinion) 80% that were designed for screen touch 8 inches. But as I said above the only problem was when I tried to touch the screen and doesn't responded, the rest works well I guess.

=========

In a few words I wanna know the following things.

1: where I can download a firmware for 5linx velocity V2 (because 5linx support doesn't want to help me or release a firmware)

2: How to convert zip firmware - to - img firmware and use it on fastboot mode or rock chip utility.

3: What mean? IPS Glass Screen (and) 5 Point Capacitive screen touch.

Really the correct ROM has to come from the actual manufacturer of the tablet, due to hardware differences between the various devices, use the incorrect ROM and you'll get things like touch-screen or WiFi not working. Although the manufacturer seems to be completely unknown, but I'd guess they're in Shenzhen, and that's about it. IMG are probably the actual uncompressed ROM image, and ZIP is just the compressed version of it, I'd guess.

thank you for reply. but you didn't answered any of my three questions xD.
Yeap, the ZIP file is decompressed version of the IMG file. I knew that.

My question was how to REPACK that zip file to a img file. (as I said above in my first comment) I found a hundred guides that say how to unpack a IMG file and use them or repack them as apk file to use them into the OS adroid or when the device is on recovery mode. but any of them say how to repack the files as a img file.

I ask that question because (again, as I said above in my first comment) I found a zip firmware for the oldest model of that tablet (velocity 1) and I wanna try it on the newest model (velocity 2) the problem is the newest model didn't come with volume buttons (+) (-) so I can't use that firmware on recovery mode, but I could use it on fastboot mode if the file is like a img firmware. Then I could use the rock chip tool.

---------------------------------------

Well I guess you guys have no idea what I'm talking about xD hihihihi.

So... Thats why, I have another question.

Can I make my own firmware? Or Customize a firmware? based on an existing firmware.
