Firmware problem! Help!

I was trying to upgrade my phone using Kies and then it bricked. So being a noob at that time I gave my phone for repair. However, from my estimate when I got the phone back I found out that all he did was root my phone and put some Chinese firmware instead. It's really a problem for me because its got a lot of weird settings that makes things hard. How can I get my phone back to the way it was before? PLZZZZ

can you access the download mode on your phone? if so you can update/change teh firmware to another? (you should unlock your phone if you are going to use a different firmware to your carrier)
