Firmware Problem?

"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. I do not know what to do at all......................I tried rooting it using Odin to get apps but this happened....I want it back to normal or my mom will kill me. I do not understand any of what happened. I just want it back to normal, will someone help me? Please use simple language because I simply do not know how to fix it....I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 from metro pcs...

I think this is going to require a 2-way discussion to work the situation out and guide you through, which isn't possible in this guest section. So I recommend you register so that you can post in the main forum.

To give you an example, I don't know whether your S3 is CDMA or GSM, and the guidance will depend on which type you have (you can't use the software for one version on the other, for example). We have specialist forums for advising on these things, so you should be able to find people who can talk you through fixing it in whichever of these is the correct one for your device:

Don't panic because these things are fixable. Register, pick the right forum for whichever of these phones you have, and post there explaining in as much detail as you can exactly what you did and what the state of the phone is currently, and we'll be able to tell you what you need to do.
