Help Firmware update help

Hi guys,

I am a brand new convert to android from ios. I have the Samsung galaxy s2 I9100.

My question is, how do I upgrade the firmware from 2.3.3 to the current version?

depending on your country and network there may be an update available to you officially.

You need to download kies from samsung's website and install onto your home pc - then plug phone in to pc and launch kies. This will tell you if theres an official update available for your phone.

Alternatively you can download a firmware find links on here or on xda forum and install via odin, again find links on here or on xda for instructions.

This is the unofficial way, but gets you the updates quicker.

It may be worth going to settings, about phone, software update. A few people have been updated to 2.3.5 this way. Although this seems to depend on your network carrier.

In phone update doesnt yield any results. Kies give me a message saying something about firmware update is not supported with this phone.
