Help Firmware update not showing up

When I go into the settings page and look at the tablet info and click on the firmware update it says "firmware update available, check the notification area"

However there is nothing about an update in the notification area. What can I do to fix this?

Try this:

Settings - Apps - Manage - All - DMClient - Force Close then Clear Data.

Reboot (press power/lock button for 10 seconds until the screen goes black)

Now, go to Settings - About - Firmware Update - Check for Update

How do I check if the update that corrected the keyboard dock not charging properly has worked?

Looking forward to Ice Cream Sandwich. Though seems odd to have one OS for tablets and phones.
