Hi All

Just updated my galaxy ace 2 with the latest firmware, its completely overhauled my phone, problem i have now is that everything is running very slowly, everytime i switch my phone off and i put it back on i have to go through all my apps to force close them all, my battery life is totally rubbish, prime example, did an overnight charge last night, was fully charged at 100% switched my phone on, left it a few minutes till did the boot up scans, battery life down to 79%, its taking forever for text message screen to appear, send or even read, can anyone help me sort it out before i throw it through a window please

Hi Fieryred72. :)

Could you let us know what version of android you updated to? And, do you happen to know the previous version? Depending on what is current for the Ace 2, it may be a very significant jump that left a lot of old cached apps hanging around that aren't behaving well.

The easiest and most tried and true way of restoring performance after a major update is to perform a factory reset. This will clear all your caches and wipe the user data from the device so make sure you are backed up. If you'd like some step-by-step instructions, let me know.
