ican i go back with a firmware update from 4.3 to 4.2 and how would i do this?

You might be out of luck. With the new firmware comes a new locked boot loader (started with the latest 4.2.2 update). You cannot downgrade but only upgrade. Maybe someone else has an idea but it might be final.

Unfortunately that's a one way trip. Security measures in 4.2.2 and in 4.3 locked the bootloader and made Knox more active. If you downgrade, your phone will go *poof until you put back the latest firmware, if you don't upset it completely and perm brick (not soft brick) your phone.

If you installed the one from Exclusive: I9505XXUEMI8 – Leaked Android 4.3 test firmware for Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) | SamMobile, it doesn't upset your counters so you may be able to downgrade just fine. You're better off looking through their forums for sure though.
