Not sure if anyone can help : I have recently upgraded the phone firmware, Kies shows revision data as follows:
PDA:KQG / PHONE:KQ6 / CSC KP1: (XEU)
whilst phone has additional information: version 2.3.4, baseband version S5570XWKQ6, kernel version is 2.6.25.7-perf-CL561937, build GINGERBREAD.XWKQG
Now to the problem: I have a number of different ring tones assinged to groups and individual numbers in my contacts. Since the upgrade these appear to randomly work / fail. So for example I receive a call from a known contact and either get no audible ringtone or the wrong ringtone. On some occasions it seems to work OK. The contact name is always shown correctly on the screen when the phone is ringing, so it cannot be related to network witholding caller id.
In order to try and confirm whether there is a firmware bug i want to revert to old version but Kies appears to show that I can only restore data and not the firmware itself.
Anybody have any similar problems / thoughts?
