Hi all.

My GS3 should show up today. :)

What was the very first app you put on your phone after it arrived?

Interesting question but there are so many you will.
My vote goes to Handcent!
(welcome to the forums, Lyfisin! Enjoy your new S3 :))

The very first app I put on any ICS (and newer) is Nova Launcher Prime.
I get rid off touchwiz the moment I'm done with the initial phone setup.

There are so many, I have to go with Swiftkey 3. Runners up include Nova Prime, SMS PopUp and Ringo Lite.

Swiftkey, Nova Launcher, Spotify and Play Music.

In fact Spotify is usually the first thing I install as I use it so much to listen to music :)

Not sure, the minute I bought it, it started automatically uploading all of the apps I had on my Droid over 4G. It was fast, but used half of my monthly limited data in the first 10 minutes. P**sed me the h**l off.

should of hoped on a free wifi somewhere, starbucks, mcdonalds, the library

or you could of backed up the apk files using something like app backup and restore than you can re-install offline

Oh, I would have but I was in the middle of Best Buy and it took me a while to even realize it was happening because I was to busy fight with the guy about contract stuff. I guess that's what I get for buying a phone at Best Buy.

I forgot one of the best apps I have ever used. It is called Shush! it is fantastic if you routinely have to silence your ringer for a meeting or other occasion. It just waits for you to turn the volume on your phone to silent and then pops up and asks how long you want it silent for; you can select as little as 15 minutes or as much as 12 hours. After the time interval is up, it puts your volume back to where it started. Or you can have it keep it off until you turn it back up, which I always forgot to do before getting this app. Now I never miss a call or text because I forgot to turn the ringer back on, Shush! remembers for me.:D

Here is a link to it in the play store: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=shush

It depends. The first app that I manually installed was titanium backup. However the first app that appeared even before that was cwm manager

hi,
not sure i can remember that far back :/ (about 2 weeks!) erm, think it was Agenda widget - my main home screen calendar widgets - followed by Enhanced email and maybe Pocket informants+Business calendar

Apex launcher went in fairly soon after as hated stock launcher - plus many more apps now :D

enjoy

...oh, sorry - forgot the keyboards :) started off with Touchpal, but now back to Swype beta
