First apps to download?

Hi folks - first time poster and an Android newbie!

Finally got myself an Android phone in the shape of the Galaxy Note. The phone is being delivered tomorrow and I am wondering what apps would be best for me to download first?

Which app was the first you downloaded? Which apps should I look out for?

If anyone could let me know I'd appreciate it.

PS I like football, sport, music, news, games if that helps with suggestions! :)

Welcome to the Forums

One of the best things about Android is its customisability (sp?) It's not "What" do you want to down load and install, more "HOW" do you want the device to work for you during your day to day routine.
It's such a personal thing. Some people like moving screens, some like block colours, some people like simple, minimalistic stuff, others want the device to work like a best friend and tell them information about everything and anything, others are less obssessed ;)
Find your feet, look in the app store, read the descriptions, if you like the concept of what it does, download it and live with it for a few days or weeks, if you like it, keep it, if not delete it.... It's a big world out there dude, have fun exploring it :D
