Got my Epic 4G Touch yesterday and am LOVING it. Had the Photon for 2 weeks before exchanging for this beast, and I haven't regretted it yet.
Notice any signal difference between the MoPho and E4GT ?

This may be a question that's been answered somewhere else, but when you say you're trading in your phones, do you mean you bought the previous phone within 30 days and are doing an exchange within the 30 day return window, or are you selling your old phone and buying a new one? I got a Nexus S 4G in May and was thinking of switching to the Epic Touch 4G, and if there's some method I can use to not have to buy the new phone wholly unsubsidized I'd be happy to know it.
30 day returns have been done away with on this phone and all future phones. The new agreement you have to sign is 14 days now.

The Epic Touch has been a pleasure to use so far. It makes the Evo 3d, with its heat, poor screen, and battery issues, look and feel like a joke.
None that I can think of. Unless you're a 3D enthusiast or just can't let go of Sense UI, there is no earthly reason to go with 3vo over Epic Touch. You can cling to the "Samsung is terrible with updates while HTC is awesome" thing, but that has no bearing on the two units as they are.Not to be belligerent or a troll, but I don't see how the 3vo can stand up to this phone in any way. Granted, I've never owned one, but what features does it sport that can be considered better than the GS2 series?

Also, is I think the poster's user name kind of says it all.

Well as a Sprint Technician I can tell you that getting those software patches out quickly is critical. I've been waiting for more than a year for some critical glitches to be patched on the original Samsung Epic 4G. When there's a problem with HTC, they have an update within a week. Aside from that from a technician's standpoint the build quality on the EVO 3D is also better.
If you don't want a custom ROM Sense 3.0 is far better than Touchwiz. The 3D is nice, not a gimmick, but not a necessity either. After using both of them the EVO 3D feels smoother, the reception is better, it comes with a memory card, has higher resolution display, and as far as I know the EVO 3D is the only current phone on Sprint that will work with some of the Network Vision upgrades that are coming.
It comes with a memory card because it only came with 4gb preinstalled memory instead of 16gb memory that was partitioned throughout the device (such as the photon and e4gt) which makes for a much smoother experience. Not knocking either phone, but the dual core inside the e4gt pretty much smashes anything out at the current moment. It doesn't overheat like the evo3d does. True that the e3d and the photon are qhd, evo screen looks nice and so does photon if you can get past the penTile. With that being said, e4gt touch's screen smashes both in terms of how vibrant and rich it is. Nothing is bland or grainy (like the photon), and doesn't wash out all gray like in daylight (like e3d). And the funny thing is, some people are complaining about how vibrant the e4gt screen is. With that being said, i wonder if they watch bland tv's at home...chances are probably not! Speaker phone is definitely louder than e3d, And just shy of the photon. And data is noticeably faster on the e4gt. Pages load faster even on 3g (from my experience at least, I've had all three phones). And the touchwiz version on this phone is definitely more user friendly.

Your first two points are contradictory to almost all of the reviews and posts I've read. The Evo 3D may come with a memory card, but it's only 8GB with zero internal compared to the 12GB internal the Epic Touch gives you. So I'd say that's a point for Samsung right there. The higher resolution is nice, but as screens go, most people prefer the SAMOLED Plus screen. After using both of them the EVO 3D feels smoother, the reception is better, it comes with a memory card, has higher resolution display, and as far as I know the EVO 3D is the only current phone on Sprint that will work with some of the Network Vision upgrades that are coming.

Why is Sprint performing network upgrades that only affect a single phone? I'm assuming that these upgrades will affect all phones -- otherwise, how is it a network upgrade?

Side by side testing has shown me different.
ESMR as far as I know has only passed FCC on the EVO 3D. Future devices will certainly have it.
