First mobile phone

Not only new to Android phones, but this is my first mobile phone-been trying to avoid technology, but after I moaned to my wife about not having a mobile she bought me one as a Christmas and Birthday present from a local 02 shop. It,s a Samsung Galaxy GT-S5830i model and very nice-will take me ages to figure how to use it. Still not been able to connect to the internet and curious to know if I,m doing something wrong as thought according to the salesman that the phone connects automatically. As you may see from my profile I love fly fishing/fly tying also listening to oldies music and think this will be invaluable to take still pics and videos to post to friends and colleagues on social networking sites. Any advice very welcome. Thank You

I will post your device forum for you to check for support and advice, also did you have a data plan on your phone, and have you set up the Wifi on it ??

Like Don asked, do you have a data plan with your device? Otherwise with your Wifi, is it password protected, because if so you would need to go into Settings > Wireless & Networks > Wifi, find your wifi, connect, then type in the password.

Otherwise if you are in to media, like pictures and such, of maybe fishing, then maybe you should check out this forum: Android Media
