Well I guess I just answered my own question (sort of)...per droidforums.net, the HTC Merge will NOT come to Verizon, but Alltell (really?). So I guess that means I'm going with the Droid 3 unless some other phone manufacturer comes out with a full QWERTY keyboard and similar or better specs than the Droid 3.

Strange, Altell was bought by Verizon (which is why I'm on Verizon now). So anything Altell has should be available to Verizon.

I got big news about droid 3 from GDP. They exclusively get the Motorola droid 3 slide-out assembly.the technicians at Global Direct Parts show us the detailed differences in FFC, display screen, Navigation backlight, and navigation buttons. and they have fantastic pictures
