They did talk about the screen. It was on par with the XOOM, Acer. But not as good as the Asus or Galaxy Tab. The screen is nice no coloration that I can see. I would agree with what they said, but this tablet has been a joy so far for me.

I agree also i had the xoom and the tab 10.1 and the tab was better than both. But the ports on the thrive make up for it.

Not bad if on par with the A500 and Xoom, but a distant second to the admittedly-sweet-displayed-so-much-that-worth-forgetting-about-usb host Transformer... Well, REAL close.

To me, the Trans display looked better than the iPad2, due to higher res. Got some thinkin' to do.

The 1660 Quadrant score is waaaay low for a Tegra 2. If vanilla 3.1, it should be at least in the 2400 range.

you actually let a quadrant score get in the way of buying an Android product? remember, Quadrant is nothing but a bragging right.

Nope, the sweet display of the Transformer is the issue of debate. The Q score seems odd, none the less. Will test end of week.

i got a 1913 Quadrant score

Closer to the norm, but still off (if it really matters anyway).

Few questions, please:

1. How much of the 16gb is actually available to use, out of box?

2. Is the internal storage mapped as the the sdcard?

3. Is both the internal and external memory seen as drives when connecting to a computer?

4. Is the memory seen as drives, or as portable storage? Drives are better, of course.

2. Storage

3. all memory connected to thrive shows up as a folder under device storage

4. Shows up in my computer as a portable Device

Well the joy is fading. The ”sleep bug” got me last night. And now the back cover is not closing properly on the side with the power button. On top of that i'm seeing a lot of lag typing (Android & Swype) in the stock browser and Dolphin browser, Opera is ok, but the browser is slow. :(

Some people are having a problem where they have to hold the power button down and restart thrive to wake it up.

The Thrive? I tested one today and the display was FAR better than expected and much better IMO than the A500.

What is the sleep bug? I did not notice the power button issues when checking build, but was not a focus at the time. Did not see the lag, either (but only an hour test).

I too like the screen, very nice indeed. Here is the

How does 1080p videos play on youtube and veetle.com movie channels? Does 720 HD become a slideshow after awhile? I ask because I have a HP touchpad which plays HD without any problems but might get a thrive!

Thanks
